Big Noise Theatre Company, a member of the League of Chicago Theatres, presents FOOTLOOSE at the Prairie Lakes Theatre, 515 E. Tickets are $20 adults, $18 seniors (65+) and students with ID, $12 children 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased at the door, by phone (847.604.0275) or online at www.ticketweb.com. Due to mild adult language and themes, parental discretion is advised.
This high-energy musical tells the story of a fun-loving boy from Chicago who finds himself having to move to a small, conservative town. Dancing and rock'n roll are banned in this town until this teenager opens their eyes with his zest for life. Classic 80's hits of the show are: "Footloose," "Let's Make Believe We're in Love," "Almost Paradise," and "Let's Hear It For the Boy."
Big Noise is very pleased to have Michael D. McGuire (Chicago) as director and music director for FOOTLOOSE. Mr. McGuire has directed and performed in numerous shows on the North Shore. Christopher R. Patrick (Chicago), a frequent collaborator with Mr. McGuire, supplies the graphics and set design. The choreography is in the capable hands of frequent Big Noise choreographers, Nancy Flaster (Glencoe) and Ann Fink (Chicago), as well as director McGuire. Daniel J. Singer (Chicago) returns to Big Noise as conductor of the 7-piece band. Frank Skony (Chicago), who created the authentic period pieces for last season's THE BEARD OF AVON, is producer.
The FOOTLOOSE cast is truly a talented bunch! Kelli Eileen LaValle/Ariel (Homer Glen) was one of the 12 semi-finalists on last season's TV reality show, "GREASE, You're The One That I Want." Vicki LoBianco Peake/Lulu Warnicker (Niles) was a 1985 contestant on "Dance Fever." Naomi Kopelman/Sally Klein (Chicago) recently finished a 2-1/2 year run in TONY 'N TINA's WEDDING. Brothers Kyle and Paul Murphy/Teen Boys (Grayslake) are, respectively, Youth Archery Champion and Youth Fighter Champion of the Society for Creative Anachronism. Priscilla Elisabeth Parchia/Rusty (Chicago) performed recently in the Bailiwick's long-running BARENAKED LADS. Don DeCarl/Principal Clark (Des Plaines) and Peter Verdico/Coach Dunbar (Wood Dale) have credits too numerous to mention! The remaining cast members have equally interesting resumes.
The cast comes from the following areas: Arlington Heights, Chicago, Des Plaines, Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates, Homer Glen, Mount Prospect, Naperville, Niles, Northbrook, Palatine, Park Ridge, Streamwood, Wheaton, Wheeling, Wilmette and Wood Dale.
